Swiss percussionists Aida Diop and Joel Musy, who also play with Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, have released their album "Dejeuner Sur l'herbe," a duo project featuring Aida Diop and Joel Musy. Dejeuner Sur l'herbe" is released on the VDE Gallo label, a long-established world music archive. The album features a simple composition with only marimba and saxophone, yet it is organic, cool, and builds a colorful sound world with depth! Aida Diop and Joel Musy's duo project, LES LAMES DU VENT, makes its debut album. Aida Diop is a percussionist who is also a member of Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, one of Switzerland's leading indie/tropical bands. Joel Musy is a veteran saxophonist who has been involved in various jazz projects since the 1990s. These two talented musicians, both of whom have been active in the local scene for a long time, have teamed up to take on a new challenge that crosses the boundaries of jazz, post-classical, and world music, and that might be appropriate for the No Format label.M(10) "Nature Boy" is a well-known classic from Nat King Cole's version. Although it is a simple composition with only marimba and saxophone, it is organic and cool, creating a colorful sound world with a lot of depth. VDE Gallo, the label that released this album, is well known for its archival series at the Geneva Museum of Ethnology, and is a well-established label supported by world music lovers along with Ocora and Folkways.
