"IBuiltYouATower," the 2026 album by Death Cab for Cutie, one of the leading indie rock bands of our time. After more than 20 years on a major label, the band returned to their indie roots and signed with ANTI-Records. They then released their highly anticipated 11th album, "IBuiltYouATower." *IBuiltYouATower* is a work that depicts loss, the process of coming to terms with one’s emotions, and the sorrow that flows from them. At the same time, it conveys the importance of growth in the wake of collapse and of accepting pain without being overwhelmed by it. “I can see that tower standing tall on the horizon of your heart,” says Ben Gibbard. “You don’t necessarily have to look inside it, but it reminds you that it definitely happened. You know the tower is there. So, you have to face it.” The band will tour in support of the new album and is scheduled to perform at the Outside Lands Festival. This follows their historic, sold-out world tour commemorating the 20th anniversary of the album *Transatlanticism* and the release of their globally acclaimed 2022 album *Asphalt Meadow*.
