This is a compilation of 29 of their best songs and performances from their heyday on Apollo Records and King Records (1952 - 1959).Notably, the album includes all of the original songs featured on Steve Cropper's 2011 tribute album, "Dedicated (A Salute To The 5 Royales)," and is built around the tribute he paid to The 5 Royales guitarist/songwriter Roman Pauling as his "mentor. The album is based on the respect he paid to The 5 Royales guitarist/songwriter Roman Pauling as his "mentor". If you listen to this, you will realize that they are not only known for "Think," known by JB and Mick Jagger, "Tell The Truth," covered by Ray Charles and Otis Redding, and "Dedicated To The One I Love," known by The Shirelles and The Mamas & Papas. You will notice that We dedicate this definitive version to Steve Cropper with gratitude and respect for the legacy of The 5 Royals, led by Roman Poling, whom he respected, and which he inherited and passed on to us.
