This compilation features 25 tracks from the early days of the Guess Who, a Canadian rock treasure who broke through worldwide with their 1970 hit "Ameriman Woman. The Guess Who became Canada's leading rock band with the worldwide hit "American Woman" in 1970, but they have a long history, having made their album debut in 1966 with the Animals and Kinks-inspired album "It's Time. The songs are taken from Chad's single "AB Side" plus the first three albums as a tribute to Chad Allan, the group's founder and key figure who passed away earlier in the year, and are a valuable record in terms of both the band and the Canadian scene. The songs are a valuable record from both the band's perspective and that of the Canadian scene, as they chronicle the process of moving from British beats to the original sound of the band when hit makers Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings first met.
