Romy Schneider (1938-1982): Born in Vienna, Austria in 1938 to a prestigious acting family, Romy Schneider decided to become an actress at the age of 14 and made her film debut at 15. 1955, at the age of 17, she starred in "Princess Sissy" as Empress Elisabeth and became a star. She fell in love with and became engaged to Alain Delon, whom she co-starred with in "Love Alone" (1958), but they broke up four years later.After a two-year hiatus from film after marrying a German stage director and having a child, she appeared in many masterpieces, including Claude Sautet's "The Evening Pond" (1972) with Yves Montand, "Ludwig" (1972) by master director Luchino Visconti, and "The Lady from Hell" (1974) and "Reminiscences" (1975), She has appeared in many masterpieces and popular films. In 1982, she died of heart failure in her Paris apartment. She devoted 43 years of her life to cinema and acting, and even after her death, she was named "the best actress of the century" (by the French CSA), and is still loved by moviegoers around the world.
