The "Evening Series of Contemporary Japanese Music No. 18: Hayasaka Fumio, 60th Anniversary of His Death Concert" features masterpieces by Japan's leading conductors and orchestras, and was conducted by Fumio Hayasaka, who currently serves as Honorary Guest Conductor of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Conductor Laureate of the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Music Director of the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra, and Art Director of Takasaki Arts Theater, and is a leader in the Japanese music world. He is currently Honorary Guest Conductor of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Crowned Conductor of the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Music Director of the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra, and Artistic Director of the Takasaki Arts Theater. The Tokyo Symphony Orchestra has performed at Suntory Hall, Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall, and Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, and has won most of Japan's major music awards, including the Minister of Education Award.
