Description:

The world's first compilation CD of Becca Stevens' music, planned for the 10th anniversary of Coreport. 4 previously unreleased takes carefully selected by Becca herself are also included. The music was selected by Mitsutaka Yanagura (Jazz The New Chapter). Following Gretchen Parlato and Sara Gazarek, Coreport's collaborative project features Becca Stevens, one of the most important artists who has greatly expanded the jazz territory since her debut. Her compositions are inspired by jazz/pop/indie rock/folk/Appalachian folk/Irish and other genres, her ensemble talent with strings, and her outstanding vocal ability, which is sought after by many artists. He has built an outstanding career while constantly updating these skills. In addition to his solo work, he has also made his presence felt with David Crosby's Lighthouse Band, Snarky Puppy, Jose James, Jacob Collier, Brad Meldor, Esperanza Spalding, and others. This compilation includes her debut "Tea by Sea" (2008), the masterpiece "Waitress" (2011), which greatly expanded the possibilities of jazz, "Perfect Animal" (2014), which approached indie rock, "Regina" (2017), which connected with her Snarky Puppy connections, "Wonderbloom" (2020), which further developed that direction, and "Becca Stevens & The Secret Trio" (2021), a collaboration that expanded her personality. Wonderbloom" (2020), which further developed that direction, and the collaborations "Becca Stevens & the Secret Trio" (2021) and "Becca Stevens & the Atacca Quartet" (2022), which further expanded her personality. The selections range from acoustic to electric, from her own band to collaborations with the Atacca Quartet and the Secret Trio, and in a variety of other formats, Becca's personality is extracted, while at the same time the flow of the music allows the listener to feel the story of the album, as if they were listening to a DJ in a relaxed, everyday setting.Previously unreleased takes include "In The Midst" (from "Tea By Sea"), which was previously unreleased on an album with the Atacca Quartet, "I Wish" (from "Wonderbloom") from a live studio performance, and a live streaming from Sony Hall in New York City for the Corona disaster, The album also features rare takes of "Slow Burn" (from "Wonder Bloom" - Grammy nominated song), which also features Michael Mayo and Keita Ogawa, and "105" (from "Perfect Animal"), a duo song with Chris Tordini.
