Description:
Hanna Elmquest is a rising star in the Swedish jazz world who studied jazz at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Born and raised in the beautiful Dalarna region, known as the spiritual home of the Swedes, her singing has a very pretty and plaintive voice, perhaps greatly influenced by the folk songs of the Dalarna region. She originally studied classical flute, but her teacher highly praised her talent and qualities as a jazz singer, so she switched her career to become a singer. She has released three CDs so far, the second one "Ferry Yard Road" and the third one "Spring" have been introduced in Japan as imported CDs, but this one is a collection of standard numbers from her debut album "Old Love New Love" which had not been introduced in Japan until now. Although she has been focusing on her original compositions since her second album, her debut album is a collection of jazz standards.The voice of the singer, which greatly soothes the hearts of listeners, becomes a refreshing jazz like a spring breeze, and the work has a fresh, Scandinavian-like air.
