Dreamers Circus is the fifth album by Dreamers Circus, a super trio formed by three different musical talents: Denmark's most famous violinist active in both traditional and classical music, a multi-instrumentalist who has participated in numerous sessions of traditional Nordic music and has become a major player at a young age, a jazz pianist, and a successful composer who is also an important figure in Danish music. Dreamer's Circus, a super trio formed by three top-notch musicians of different talents and currently at the pinnacle of Scandinavian/Danish traditional music, has completed its new (fifth) album. During the Corona disaster, the trio composed 58 new songs inspired by traditional music and published "Haded on," a collection of musical scores. At the same time, performance videos of all the songs are distributed on YouTube. This album contains 13 gems selected mainly from the songs in the score collection. Please enjoy this wonderful ensemble, which shows their current momentum and deep love for traditional music! During the restrictions of the Corona disaster, we found ourselves unable to tour or give concerts. With time to spare, we decided to compose and publish (58) pieces of music inspired by the people and folk traditions we grew up with. The result is a collection of sheet music called Handed On, published in 2022.Many of the pieces on this recording originated from this collection of scores. We believe that tradition can only live on through flexibility and adaptation to remain appropriate to the people, time, place, and context in which it exists. Handed On is an attempt to show our respect and gratitude to those who have contributed to the tradition and to the unbroken line of people who have shaped and shared music over the centuries.
