Belgian sheet music publisher Hafabra Music presents a collection of the popular brass band works of Jean-Pierre Heck. Originally a trombone major, Jean-Pierre Heck studied at the Conservatory of Velpier, then went on to the Royal Conservatory of Liège, where he graduated at the top of his class. He has been active as a trombonist in Belgium, as well as a teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Liège and the Luxembourg State Conservatory of Music. His compositions have been published by Hafabra Music and performed in many countries around the world. This collection contains 13 of his compositions, carefully selected from his many works and existing recordings. The melody lines and orchestrations are simple and easy to understand, yet touching. Like an eagle soaring in the summer night sky, "Altair" is a powerful work full of grandeur, "Landscape for Trumpet and Band" features trumpet, and the march "WM 2013" is also included, offering a rich variety of contents.
