This is the 27th collection of the Masterpiece Series featuring advanced grades from the Dutch sheet music publisher Molenaar Editions. This 27th collection features the "Roman Trilogy" of symphonic poems "Pines of Rome," "Fountains of Rome," and "Roman Festivals" by Ottorino Respighi. The Dutch composer Ton van Leeuwenbrueck has made an excellent arrangement for wind band, and the Portuguesa Symphonic Band has brought out the best of the work in its fullest performance. There are many brass band arrangements of the Roman Trilogy, and this is one I recommend to those who are looking for a new arrangement of the work.
