Keitaro Harada is the most popular conductor in Japan today. After studying conducting in the United States and Russia, he made his professional debut at the age of 20 with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra conducting Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2. He then returned to the U.S. to study with Lorin Maazel and as an assistant to Levine, and held positions such as associate conductor of the Arizona Opera and associate conductor of the prestigious Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. in 2017, he conducted "Carmen" at the Bulgarian National Opera. In 2017, he made his European opera debut conducting "Carmen" at the Bulgarian National Opera. He also made his operatic debut in Japan, conducting a performance of "Carmen" at the Bulgarian National Opera in 2017. Last year, with the "Corona Disaster," he rapidly increased his presence in Japan, and at only 36 years of age, he has become a sought-after conductor of major orchestras in Japan. This recording, his full-fledged debut, is a collection of works written in the United States and Mexico, a specialty of Keitaro Harada, who has long been based in Arizona. The songs are all masterpieces that incorporate dance rhythms and a passion that is uniquely American.The lineup of composers symbolizes the diversity of American music, from Copland and Bernstein to Walker, a black composer, Piazzolla, an Argentine who lived in New York, and Marquez, a Mexican.
