Arturo Toscanini left an enormous mark on the history of 20th century music. In the first half of his life, he worked mainly with European and American opera houses, and in the second half of his life, as a concert conductor, he performed a wide range of repertoire at an extremely high standard. The NBC Symphony Orchestra from 1937 is one of the earliest successful examples of media mixing in the art of music. The CDs will be reissued in analog LP jacket design. Dvořák's "From the New World" is a milestone of the monaural LP era and is known as one of the finest session recordings of Toscanini's final years. This interpretation emphasizes musical fullness, in keeping with the composer's intention to sublimate Czech folk elements into absolute music.
