The concert is a recording of the entire concert that Rubinstein gave in Pasadena, California, approximately one and a half years before he retired from the stage. The program includes Rubinstein's lifelong favorites Beethoven, Schumann, Debussy, Chopin, and Mendelssohn as an encore.
