Brazilian jazz pianist and vocalist Ileane Elias, who won a Grammy for her 2021 album "Mirror Mirror" with Chick Corea and others, and whose 2022 bossa nova album "Quietudo" is also a long seller, has already arrived with an original album! Produced by Iliane Elias, her husband and bassist Mark Johnson and Steve Rodby. Guests include guitarist Bill Frisell and Brazil's leading legendary singer, Javan. The album features eight original songs, including three rearranged songs from the past. Ileane Ilias is a pianist and vocalist born in São Paulo, Brazil in 1960, who started playing piano at the age of 7 and began performing professionally at 17. In 1984, she released "Amanda" with her ex-husband Randy Brecker. After that, she released several solo albums such as "Eliane Elias Plays Jobim (1990)" on Blue Note label, and became popular for her fusion of jazz and Brazilian music. His piano album with Herbie Hancock, Solos and Duets (1995), was nominated for a Grammy.His other works include the Bill Evans tribute "Something for You (2007)" and the Chet Baker tribute "I Thought About You (2013)". 2021 "Mirror Mirror", a collaboration with the late Chick Corea and Chucho Valdez, won a double Grammy and a Latin Grammy. In 2021, he won both a Grammy and a Latin Grammy for "Mirror Mirror" with the late Chick Corea and Chucho Valdez. His latest film is "Quietudo" (2022).
