Previously unreleased live recording from 1970 by the legendary jazz-rock band Coliseum, whose superb technique played a central role in the British rock scene in the 1970s! John Heisman (drums), Dick Hextall-Smith (saxophone), Dave Greenslade (keyboards), and Chris Farlow (vocals) all play with a devil-may-care attitude that is a must-hear! The album includes their signature song "Walking In The Park" as well as "Downhill And Shadows" and other great songs not heard on the classic "Colosseum Live" album. Colosseum is a jazz-rock band formed in the late 60's by John Heisman, Dave Greenslade, and Dick Hextall-Smith, who were active in the John Mayall Blues Breakers. Salute You" in 1969, and the second album "Valentyne Suite" in the same year, which became a hit in the UK. The following year, in 1970, they released an American edited version of "The Grass Is Greener".After a change of members (Clem Clemson, Mark Clarke, and Chris Farlow joined the band), the band released "Daughter of Time" in 1970 and "Colosseum Live" in 1971, but disbanded due to musical differences. In 1994, the band reunited with the original members and released their first studio album in 27 years, "Bread & Circuses" in 1997. In 1997, they released their first studio album in 27 years, "Bread & Circuses," and in 2007, they made their first visit to Japan and released their last album, "Time on Our Side," in 2012.
