Canadian popular blues-rock guitar slinger Philip Seuss, who took Japan by storm, is back after an 8-year absence! His passionate guitar playing and technique are still there! His soulful vocals have also been polished, and the album features more pop originals with a high degree of perfection, as well as covers of Albert Collins and John Lee Hooker. The album features Fred Mandel, a legend who has worked with Queen and Alice Cooper on keyboards, and Bernie Barlow on backing vocals. Philip Sayce was born in England in 1976 and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He was influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Mark Knopfler, and started playing guitar. While playing in the Toronto club scene, he caught the eye of Jeff Healey and joined his band in 1996. In 2001, he moved to LA and joined Uncle Cracker in 2002. In 2003, he was chosen to be Melissa Ethridge's guitarist and gained national attention.Peace Machine" in 2005 and "Silver Wheel of Stars" in 2007 were also released in Japan and were big hits. Since then, he has consistently released "Innerevolution" (2010), "Ruby Electric" (2011), and "Steamroller" (2012) from Provogue, "Influence" (2014) from Warner Canada, and "Scorched Earth: Volume 1" (2016) from Warner Canada. In 2020, he released "Spirit Rising" exclusively through digital distribution.
