The pioneering masterpiece using "RIAS original sound sources" is back! Furtwängler's last "Denen" & "Fate". The master's last years, the ultimate of his art. A strong contrast between delicate elegance and swirling energy! The Artus Tara label reissue series. The newly remastered recordings are now available in unprecedented sound quality. The two works, "Denen" and "Fate," are a pair, and were premiered on the same day. This recording, made six months before Furtwängler's death in 1954, was his last performance with the Berlin Philharmonic and his last recording with the orchestra. The RIAS recordings are well known for their excellent sound quality, and they are beloved as masterpieces that allow us to enjoy the art of the master in his final years. The Tarra disc, in particular, is a pioneering masterpiece using the original RIAS sound source, and is characterized by its sound with minimal noise reduction. It is very interesting to compare it with discs from other labels, and it is a disc that you should definitely keep on hand.The delicacy of "Rural," the absolute joy after the storm! In the finale, a daring Achilleleand builds up the music greatly, but concludes slowly, as if in prayer. The following "Destiny" is a masterful performance that can be called the definitive recording. The tight rhythms and driving force that dominate the entire orchestra and the enormous energy that swirls around it. The extreme tension just before the fourth movement, which is stretched to the very limit, is the quintessence of Furtwängler's music.
