(Original release: 1974 / Turbo (US)This is the first album by the four-piece formed around Michael Burton, a soul singer born in St. Louis, Missouri, who also backed Sylvia Lovinson on her hit "Pillow Talk" the previous year. Backed by the Wood Brass & Steel Band, who also recorded an album on the Turbo label, the group's three subsequent disco albums included the title track by Gil Scott-Heron, an over 8-minute Temptations cover, and a psychedelic funk number reminiscent of Sly & the Family Stone. The album is a mellow funk masterpiece that sets itself apart from the three following disco albums.
