Grand Slam, the band led by Irish hero Phil Lynott between the breakup of Thin Lizzy and his death. This was the band that appeared at the Kerrang! Wooargh Weekender 1984 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England on October 12, 1984, hosted by the metal magazine Kerrang! Wooargh Weekender 1984, hosted by Kerrang! Wooargh Weekender in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, on October 12, 1984, and recorded for broadcast by the BBC.The songs from this period are actually very substantial, including songs from Lynott's solo works, Thin Lizzy songs, as well as "A Walk in Paris" by his ally Gary Moore (lyrics by Lynott), new songs on Grand Slam, songs released on Moore's album, and songs that would later be released to the world as unreleased Thin Lizzy songs. The songs from this period are actually very rich. The contents of this album are enough to make one anticipate the future of the band in response to the new era, and there is much to listen to, including the musicianship of the band members.This is the soundtrack of a truly fantastic band that is sorely missed because of the band's short life.
