Like Bob Dorough "behind the scenes"? A masterpiece of mellow jazz vocals. This is a "cool" tune full of swing, waltz and jazz samba sung in a crooner's voice with a nifty electric piano at the core. A masterpiece. This indie record was secretly kept on a local label in California, but it is a hip, swingin', happy, and sometimes mellow jazz vocal masterpiece with a (surprisingly) gorgeous lineup of Paulinho da Costa on percussion, in addition to Ray Brown, Shelley Mann, and other members. It is a masterpiece of hip, swingin', happy, and sometimes mellow jazz vocals. It is noteworthy that most of the high quality songs on this album are Don's original compositions, and his talent as a songwriter is outstanding. The crooner's voice is reminiscent of Bob Dorough's, and his mellow playing with the electric piano is also superb.The pleasant electric piano tone of M1 "Strawberry jam" at the beginning of the album surprises you with its great atmosphere, but it is followed by M2 "Love" with Paulinho da Costa's percussion, M6 "San Diego", a jazz samba masterpiece with brilliant electric piano and flute, M8 "All the things you are", a standard with a nice voice, and M9 "I want you everyday", an instrumental waltz dedicated to his beloved wife, M4 "Carla". M8 "All the things you are", a standard song with a lovely voice, M9 "I want you everyday", an oozing and mellow bossa nova, and M4 "Carol", an instrumental waltz dedicated to his beloved wife, all songs are of high quality and the album is a perfect work of art, It is too good to be true.
