In early '65, he met and hit it off with Jessi Colin Young, and that was the beginning of the Youngbloods. Jerry Corbitt (vo,g), who wrote the group's first hit "Grizzly Bear" (1967), was undoubtedly another frontman of the early YB, although he left the group early on. This is his first solo album for Polydor, recorded in California in 1969. It was produced by Charlie Daniels, a Nashville studio musician who also participated in Dylan's local recordings. In 1971, Capitol released a second Nashville-recorded album, still produced by Daniels, and the two collaborated on a second album that would later be released on the same label. This collaboration between the two later developed into the fantastic Southern rock unit . (From the manufacturer's information)
