This is the first best-of album consisting of 20 songs by one of the inaugural members of the American group, Jerry Beckley, as a solo artist. Jerry has had many hits in the U.S., including "I Need You," "The Girl with the Golden Hair," and "Daisy Jane," and has released seven albums to date since his first solo album, "Van Go Gan," was released in 1995. Jerry's solo works are often written from a deeper emotional point of view than those he wrote as a member of the U.S. Although some of them may seem cynical, they touch the listener's heartstrings with their beautiful melodies, just like Tchaikovsky's world. This best-of album is not just a compilation of Jerry's hits, but a story. Jerry Beckley's solo career has seen him release seven albums since 1995, and the 20 songs from those albums only scratch the surface of the essence of Jerry's work, but as the title of "Keeping The Light On" suggests, this is the story of a man who keeps the light on. But as the title "Keeping The Light On" suggests, this is Jerry keeping the light on.Five of the 20 songs: "I'm Calling You," "(I'm Your) Heart Slave," "Norman," "Self Image," and "How Can I Turn You Away" are previously unreleased, as is "Watching The Time Go By" from Beckley-Lamm-Wilson's 1999 "Watching The Time Go By" was also selected from Beckley-Lamm-Wilson's 1999 album Like A Brother.
