Sebastian is the all-powerful butler of the Phantomhive family, an evil aristocrat who undertakes Queen Victoria's "underhanded" work. His true identity is that of a demon. Under a contract with Ciel, the young and isolated head of the Phantomhive family, who is facing up to his cursed destiny, Sebastian becomes Ciel's shadow and deals with underworld cases in the dark. One day, Derrick, the son of the Queen's cousin, the Marquis of Clemens, has not returned home since last summer vacation, and a letter arrives from the Queen requesting them to investigate the cause. Sebastian and Ciel begin an undercover investigation, pretending to be teachers and students at the prestigious boarding school Derrick attends. The school is a closed space where tradition and discipline rule, and the principal is the absolute monarch. The principal never appears, and the only people allowed to see him are the four supervisory students (known as the P4) who reign over the school. In order to find out the truth behind the incident, Ciel approaches the P4 in every possible way and gradually gains their approval. Then, an annual cricket tournament is held, in which the best player is invited to the "Midnight Tea Party" held by the principal. Ciel plans to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with him.
