Nico Murie, known for his collaborations with renowned artists from Bjork to Sufian Stevens, has a new hauntingly beautiful score Bjork, Antony and the Johnsons, The National, and Sufian Stevens, created for the Japanese film "Child of the Sun", He has collaborated with renowned artists and bands such as Bjork, Antony and the Johnsons, The National, Sufian Stevens, and Yonsei, composed music for the American Ballet Theater, American Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York City Ballet, New York Philharmonic, The Royal Ballet, and others, and was nominated for five Academy Awards. American artist/composer Nico Murie has composed scores for a variety of films, including "The Love Reader," which was nominated for five Academy Awards. This soundtrack work was created as the score for the Japanese film "Child of the Sun" (directed by Hiroshi Kurosaki and starring Yuya Yagira), which will be released in the summer of 2021, about the unknown "development of the atomic bomb in Japan" in the summer of 1945, at the end of the Pacific War. She is a member of the ACME String Quartet, known for her collaborations with Max Richter, Johan Johansson, and Dustin O'Halloran, as well as the New York chamber ensemble yMusic, and has released solo works on Iceland's Bedroom Comminity label. The album almost entirely features viola player Nadia Sirota, who has also released solo works on Bedroom Comminity in Iceland.Her graceful viola intertwines with Nico's delicate piano and electronics to create a noble yet melancholic music that accompanies the sentiments of young people who ran as fast as they could while being tossed about by the times. Mixed and mastered by our friend Vargale Sigurðsson. This is a Japan-only CD release.
