Since its formation in 2006, Los Campesinos has released five original albums, all of which have been highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad for their heart-thumping sound and unique lyrics, which can be described as the ROSCAN mark. Los Campesinos has also gained popularity here in Japan, where they have performed several times in Japan. They have announced the release of their new album "Thick Scenes", their first new album in about three years since their last "No Blues". This new album will be released on their old label, Wichita.The album was recorded in Fridao, Portugal in the midst of Euro 2016 with longtime collaborator John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Death Cab for Cutie, etc.) and Tom on guitar & vocals. Jimmy Robertson (Haim, Falls, Jamie T, LCD Soundsystem) was the mixer and Greg Calvi (Bon Iver, Alabama Shakes, Norah Jones) was the master.An Ethiopian nun beloved by pianists around the world, who passed away in 2023, here is her first vocal album. music, and traditional Ethiopian music. This is her first vocal work on an album of songs recorded between 1977 and 1985. The familiar sounds of the recording process, such as birds chirping outside the window/the creak of a piano bench/the sound of her fingers pressing buttons, are recorded as they were during the recording process. She passed away in March 2023, dreaming that this work would reach many people around the world. The LP comes with a 16-page full-color booklet.
