Thomas Winkler, formerly known as Angus MacFaydean (XIII) and vocalist of the British power metal band GLORY HAMMER, returns to the power metal scene with a formidable lineup. Rebranded as ANGUS McSIX, they make a striking solo debut in 2022, carrying their worldview—a magical fusion of characters × story × metal—that sets them apart from ordinary bands. Supporting the reborn Angus MacSix are formidable members: Talia Belazecka, former guitarist of FROZEN CROWN, as "Talistris," the Queen of the Laser Amazons of Caledonia. Sebastian "Seb" Rivarman of ORDEN ORGAN plays bass as "Sebron," the Arch-Demon, the root of all evil. Manu Rotter, known for his work with RHAPSODY OF FIRE, joins as the drummer, embodying the northern primitive berserker "Skau". As you can see from the participating members, this album brings together top-tier technicians already active in the power metal scene. Naturally, it delivers on expectations as a work packed with the catchy melodies and memorable choruses power metal fans have been waiting for, achieving a level of perfection that won't disappoint. On January 7, 2025, Winkler announced his departure from the band to spend more time with his family, with Sam Nyman (Adam Maxix) joining as his replacement. Additionally, Rotter also left the band, replaced by Gerrit Ram (Oak Zero). On September 30, the band released another single, "The Fire of Yore," and announced the addition of Jasmine Pubost (The Dwarf) as their new guitarist.
