Formed in 1982 at the height of the NWOBHM movement, GLASGOW is a four-piece band from Glasgow, Scotland, U.K. They made their debut in 1984 with two singles, "Miles Better" and "Stranded". The band's debut album "Zero For One" was released in 1987, during the heyday of heavy metal music. The album's content, due to its 80's background and the location of the UK, is a work with a damp British atmosphere that emphasizes melody but does not fall into excessive ornamentation compared to the American bands of the same era. It was highly acclaimed by enthusiasts as a fine work with a perfect balance of heavy and pop, including a cover of Chris Thompson's classic "Secrets in the Dark," which was later cut as a single by the band's senior member, MANFRED MANNS EARTH BAND. However, after the release of this album, the band disbanded in 1988 with two singles remaining.Since there were not so many pressings at the time, the original version of this album was a phantom debut album, and its price on the second-hand market has skyrocketed until now. Although it was officially released in Japan at the time, it has not been reissued in Japan since then, and is now finally being reissued after more than 30 years. In addition, "Will You be Mine," which was only released as a single at the time, is included as a bonus track. This is a must-have collector's item for enthusiasts.
