Description:
RAINBOW, led by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, was one of the bands that ignited the hard rock boom in Japan in the 70's and had a great influence on many musicians. This is a live recording of the lineup from "Down To Earth", the only studio album left with Graham Bonnet, who joined the band as the second vocalist after Ronnie James Dio, the first vocalist, left the band. The setlist started with Holst's suite "The Planets" with Mars as the SE, and the band kicked into top gear with the first song "Eyes Of The World" to draw the audience in, followed by "Love's No Friends", "Love's No Friends", and "The Planets", and then "The Planets", "The Planets", "The Planets", and "The Planets". The band pulled the audience into top gear with the first song, "Eyes Of The World," followed by "Love's No Friends," "Since You Been Gone," "All Night Long," and "Lost In Hollywood," with solos by the band members in between.The show ended with their signature song, "Man On The Silver Mountain - Long Live Rock 'N' Roll," which kept the momentum going right up to the end. The album was also made with an eye on the U.S. charts, including the inclusion of "Since You Been Gone" on the album, which borrowed from Russ Ballard's "Since You Been Gone. Since there have been very few live recordings of the band during Graham's tenure, this powerful live album, which packages the band at its peak, is truly a collector's item that is coveted and a must-listen for any enthusiast.
