This is the debut album by Durbin, the heavy metal project of "American Idol" singer James Durbin. Major artists such as Judas Priest's Rob Halford, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, and Motley Crue's Mick Mars have praised James Durbin's vocals. His vocals have also been highly praised in Quiet Riot's work, including his powerful high tones and strong vocals that are perfect for singing heavy metal. Musically, the band is truly royal heavy metal, influenced by Judas Priest, Dio, Black Sabbath, and others from the 1980s. The songs are of a very convincing high quality that shows the band's fascination with this kind of work. Although James is still active as a solo artist and in bands such as THE LOST BOYS, this is a work in which he tackles head-on the royal heavy metal of Judas Priest and Dio, which he loves, under the band name Durbin rather than as a solo artist.
