Music Director Jonathan Nott and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, who have achieved many great feats that have enchanted and enthralled many fans, will open the last season with Bruckner: Symphony No. 8 (No. 8). This is the live recording of Bruckner: Symphony No. 8 (Novak version, 1st draft) that opened the last season. It has been nine years since the EXTON label's first CD recording of Bruckner's Symphony No. 8 (Novak version No. 2 [OVCL-00608]), and this is a terrific performance that brings out all of the Bruckner image that this duo has accumulated over a long period of time. After the final note of the last movement, the hall was filled with a lingering emotion and silence, followed by a thunderous ovation.
