The youngest of four siblings born to Native parents, she is also transgender. In the making of her stunning debut album, "Write Your Name in Pink," Christopherson wrote, "All of the identities that make me who I am are malleable, and I am always new and in flux. Quinn was telling stories long before he was making music. until his father gave him a guitar at the age of 20.Local dive bars and open mics provided an entry point into the scene, as well as a longtime partnership with songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Carpenter (Nicholas is still a bandmate). Perhaps this slow process explains the effortless expansiveness of Write Your Name in Pink. There, songs intertwined with deeply intimate experiences blossom into communal anthems; in 2019, Quinn was the winner of the NPR "Tiny Desk" competition with "Erase Me," the brilliant culmination of Write Your Name in Pink.
