York rock band Shed Seven, whose sixth and latest album, "A Matter of Time", finally reached #1 in the UK. Liquid Gold", a compilation of iconic songs from the past reimagined with the addition of an orchestra, is now available. Liquid Gold is the latest release by Shed Seven in 2024. This particular work is a compilation of iconic songs from the past reimagined with the addition of an orchestra, promising a sound experience that is both nostalgic and fresh. The album is completed by a new song, "All Roads Lead To You," written specifically for the project and adding to the band's illustrious discography Shed Seven is often regarded as the underdogs of the Britpop world, but that is about to end. The band reunited in 2007 and, after a handful of gigs that were upgraded as soon as they were announced, have stepped up to arenas and outdoor venues. In the process, they put on the biggest show of their 30-year career, making them a bigger live act than they were in the 1990s.Their revival album, 2017's "Instant Pleasures," also reached #8 on the UK charts, tying with 1996's "A Maximum High" as the best of their career. Six years later, the band has completed a new album, A Matter Of Time, which they consider their best since A Maximum High. The album features guest appearances by Peter Doherty of The Libertines, Rowetta of Happy Mondays, and Laura McClure of Reverend and the Makers. It spawned a new set of epic anthems, the power and maturity of which reflect the decades-long friendship between singer Rick Witter, guitarist Paul Banks, and bassist Tom Gladwin. A Matter Of Time was released in January 2024 and reached #1 on the UK charts.
