O., the London-based duo of baritone saxophone player Joe Henwood and drummer Tash Keary, will release their highly anticipated debut album, WeirdOs, in June on Speedy Wunderground. Having honed their own fearless sound through residencies at iconic Brixton venue The Windmill and supporting artists such as black midi and Gilla Band in the UK and Europe, O. have distilled their WeirdOs" is the culmination of the energy of his unique live show. The album was produced by Dan Carey and features 10 high-octane instrumentals recorded live, reflecting the rowdiest Joe and Tash.From cathartic dance floor drops to jangleist breakbeats, intricate jazz lines to sludgy, menacing doom metal, this duo has it all... there is almost nothing that compares to O.'s live show. Featuring huge bass and vibration from Joe's baritone saxophone, played with dub and distortion pedals, and Tash's precise, expressive, and intense drumming, their live show is a sonic assault. With just two instruments, O. covers everything from dance floor euphoria to ear-catching melodic hooks. Their music is infectious and irrepressible. Changing their original band name, Toe, to O., to avoid confusion with the Japanese post-rock group Toe, which abbreviated their name, Joe and Tash started their first show, which was limited to live streaming during the pandemic.
