The electronic sound is grotesque and unrealistic, but at the same time, its beauty is even more pronounced.Guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento, whose sound is based on Brazilian music and incorporates elements of various genres, and saxophonist Sam Gendel, a key figure in the ambient jazz scene, have completed a collaborative album. The Room," is released, presenting a unique journey through the landscapes and traditions of folk music throughout South America. The Room is a collection of folk music from all over South America, interpreted by Fabiano do Nascimento and Sam Gendel on 7-string nylon guitar and soprano saxophone, respectively. Here they present a unique journey through little-known musical landscapes and traditions from Argentina to the Amazon. California-born saxophonist Sam Gendal, best known for his collaborations with Moses Sumney and bassist Sam Wilkes, has long honed his improvisations to bend the pitch of harmony and glide over rhythm.The ambient jazz musician also offers unpredictable, impressionistic takes on R&B hits from the 90s and early 00s by the likes of Beyonc□, Aaliyah, and Erykah Badu.Fabiano is a Rio de Janeiro-born, LA-based Fabiano is a multi-instrumentalist, guitarist, composer, and producer based in LA. He has developed an ever-expanding and unique sound, sometimes referred to as retro-futuristic Brazilian music, that draws on elements of modern jazz, experimental, and electronic music, while remaining in the samba and choro traditions.
