Description:

Temples, a psychedelic rock band formed in Kettering, England, completes its fourth album. Exotico, a glorious collage of psychedelia, krautrock, and timeless dream pop, is released. Produced by Sean Lennon/Mixed by Dave FridmanTemples will release their fourth album, Exotico, produced by Sean Ono Lennon, on ATO Records. Having already worked with Lennon on the 2020 single "Paraphernalia," the band recorded the album at his New York studio. The album was mixed by Dave Fridmann (Beach House, Spoon, The Flaming Lips). During the production of Exotico, Temples became aware of the phenomenon of "phantom islands. This is a land that was at one time described on maps but was later found not to exist, a mirage or intentional myth of the sea.Exotico, the Kettering band's fourth album, is an utopia dreamed up by James Bagshaw (Vo/G), Tom Walmsley (B), Adam Smith (G), and Rens Ottink (Dr) in an equally mystical setting. It's a glorious collage of psychedelia, krautrock, and timeless dream pop that explores every existential theme while bringing its world to crystalline life... When they first met Lennon in 2019, they instantly felt a deep creative connection, The 12-day "Exotico" sessions resulted in a significant departure from the self-contained approach they had followed since their debut album, "Sun Structures" For Temples, the act of creating "Exotico" was a combination of their transcendent imaginative impulses and the "real world" they had been exploring since their debut album, "Sun Structures. and their understandable need for escape from the real world.Temples is a psychedelic rock band formed in Kettering, Northamptonshire in 2012 by James Bagshaw (Vo/G) and Tom Walmsley (B). 2012 saw the release of their debut single "Shelter Song", followed in 2014 by their debut The band released their debut single "Shelter Song" in 2012 and their debut album "Sun Structures" in 2014. The album reached #7 on the UK charts, and in May of the same year, the band made their first solo tour of Japan, performing at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in July. 2017 saw the release of their second album, "Volcano," which received high praise from NME, Clash, and others, and in July of the same year, the band performed at the FUJI ROCK In 2019, they will release their third album "Hot Motion".
