The third reissue of Johnny's Discs, a treasure of Japanese jazz masterpieces that stimulate the heartstrings with Japanese nostalgia! Johnny's Discs compilation includes one of the best performances of Japanese jazz, Teru Sakamoto's "My Favorite Things," as well as rare performances by Hitoshi Oguri and Katsuyuki Itakura. This two-disc set also includes the best of the other side of jazz. The first disc, the jazz side, includes "My Favorite Things" from Johnny's classic album "Umi o Mitaita Johnny/Teru Sakamoto Trio," which is synonymous with Johnny, as well as "Black Jazz" from the Japanese version of "My Favorite Things," which is also known as Coltrane's masterpiece. From "Hatsufuki" by Bison Katayama, a Japanese black jazz trio, to the Hitoshi Ogura Trio, which was featured in the jazz review "Japanese Jazz 1970-1990", and "It's Over" featuring Mayumi Sonoda, a recording of a rare performance by the fantastic pianist Kichirou Sugino, who showed lyrical performance in the Bison Katayama Trio. The album also includes six pieces that are being released on CD for the first time, including "It's Over," which features Mayumi Sonoda.The other side features the rock band King Kong Paradise, featuring the soulful vocals of Kouji Nanjo, known as the Masaki Ueda of the East, legendary alternative folk singer Hiroshi Mikami, and 80's industrial techno favorite Sympathy Narvas. The booklet includes a list of the best and weirdest performances that only Johnny's Discs can offer, full of powerful messages and beats, including King Kong Paradise, legendary alternative folk singer Kan Mikami and the Techno Band featuring 80's industrial techno favorite Sympathy Nervous.
