Formed in 1980, the HR trio that took the NWOBHM era by storm, Gaskin! This paper jacket reissue summarizes the band's 40th anniversary. Included Albums DISC 1. End Of The World (original release 1981) The debut album of GASKIN, formed in the UK in 1980 with Paul Gaskin (vo,g) in the midst of the NWOBHM boom that blew through the UK in 1979, was a masterpiece released in 1981 and still remains as a classic album to this day. The album is a masterpiece of traditional British HR with dramatic and renegade compositions influenced by early RUSH, and songs with a hard sound but with a sense of melancholy and fragility that the Japanese like. *This reissue includes 6 additional bonus tracks, including single versions, demos, and rare session recordings! Commentary: Masanori Ito DISC 2. No Way Out (original release, 1982) The band underwent a member change from the successful previous album.The band's second album from 1982, which showed the band's evolution and expansion with the addition of a new full-time singer, Brent Spencer (vo), and Paul Gaskin's focus on guitarist! The songs shifted to a more compact and catchy style, and this album showed a new direction and style of the band, which divided fans into two sides. *This reissue also includes six bonus tracks, including rare demos and rare live recordings, in addition to singles not included on the album! Commentary: Kazuyoshi Hirano Stand Or Fall (originally released in 2000) After "No Way Out" in 1982, Gaskin stopped their activities in the following year, 1983. Although he did not resume his activities for a long time after that, Paul Gaskin did not stop his production activities. The artwork for this album was again done by Danny Flynn, who also did the artwork for the first album. Paul himself has stated that this is his "favorite album". Bonus tracks for the Japanese version include 2 live versions of songs from '17! Paper jacket! Commentary: Noboru "JERO" Sakuma (ABIGAIL/GORGON) DISC 4. Edge Of Madness (original release 2012) Gaskin finally re-launched with Paul Gaskin in conjunction with the release of his last album "Stand Or Fall" in 2000. After an impressive live performance at "Wacken Open Air," the band began writing songs for a new album, but Paul's family situation interrupted the process. Original member Dave Norman (drums) returned to the band and spent a lot of time in his private studio to produce this album, and the sound quality and the perfection of the songs have dramatically improved, resulting in a masterpiece that Paul himself would agree with! *The Japanese version of the album includes two acoustic versions of the songs as bonus tracks! First domestic release! Paper jacket! Liner notes include the latest interview with Paul Gaskin!
