Since all band members have different musical backgrounds, it took a lot of time and effort to mix various influences and experiences into one music. However, it was clear from the beginning that "music has to come from the heart," and the music PLEASURELAND creates is a "labor of love. They have always placed great importance on musical chemistry, and have found something special in the songs they have written together, growing in everything from the idea to the recording. The result of this process is their debut album, "Pleasureland". It is interesting to note that they are influenced by the rock/metal of the 70's and 80's, with many of the members talking about the influence of GIANT and JOURNEY.Female singer Jonna Ceylon is best known as a performer on the Swedish TV show "Fame Factory" and later as a singer in the metal band ALL ENDS. She released the album "A Road To Depression," which was backed by the IN FLAMES connections of Jesper Stromblad and Bjørn Jelotte. Guitarist Jare Westergren is the founder of ARTURIUS, producer and songwriter. The band also included members of GATHERING OF KINGS. The debut album "Pleasureland" from this super new face of nostalgic melodies is packed to the brim with vibrant, catchy melodies. The album includes "Shotgun City," a cover of a song released in 1988 by the British pop band Habit.
