Linde Brunnmaier-Tutz studied recorder and medicine in Innsbruck, flute with Hans-Martin Linde at the Schola Cantorum in Basel and with Bartolt Kuijken at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She has performed as a soloist with many orchestras of classical music, including the Bach Collegium Japan, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, the Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble, Le Concert des Nations, and the 18th Century Orchestra. On this album, he shows his ability to be invited by the most prestigious orchestras and plays Bach with Lars Ulrich Mortensen in perfect harmony. Gustav Leonhardt made great achievements in the field of ancient music. This is an extra track of very rare recordings to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death.The world's first recording of "Brandenburg Concerto No. 6" on ancient instruments made in 1950, shortly after the war, is now available. The members of the ensemble are all very splendid and are all leading experts in the field of ancient music. The conductor is Josef Mertin, one of the pioneers of the study of old Viennese music. The other musicians include Mertin's student Eduard Merckx, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, one of the most famous old instrumentalists and conductors of the 20th century, and Gustav Leonhardt, who plays the viol (viola da gamba) instead of the harpsichord.
