The second collection of Russian sonatas played by Anastasia Yasko! Anastasia Yasko is a pianist from Kursk, a city in southwestern Russia. In her second Russian album, following "Russian Piano Sonatas of the 20th Century" (ARS38581), which was released in commemoration of her doctoral degree from the Mozarteum University of Salzburg and nominated for two Opus Klassik awards, Anastasia Yasko presents a collection of sonatas written in the first half of the 20th century, each with a very different musical impression. Three sonatas by Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, and Kabalevsky, all written in the first half of the 20th century and each with very different musical impressions! Anastasia Yasko began playing the piano at the age of 4. After receiving her musical training from Tatiana Shklovskaya at the Gnesin Music School in Moscow, she studied at the Tchaikovsky Memorial State Moscow Conservatory, the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, and since 2018 at the Mozarteum University with her teacher She is an assistant to Rolf Plagge, and has won top prizes in many international competitions, beginning with first prize at the International Igumnov Competition in Russia in 2005 and the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2021.
