Boris Bloch, heir to Russian pianism, "Piano Works" Volume 9 is Tchaikovsky! Born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine, Boris Bloch studied at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow under Tatiana Nikolaeva and Dimitri Bashkirov, and won first prize at the 1978 Busoni International Piano Competition. He is a well-known pianist who is well suited for the expression "prodigy" or "genius". This album is the ninth volume of his "Piano Works" series for ARS Produktion, featuring a concert held on November 6, 2018, the anniversary of Tchaikovsky's death, to commemorate the 125th anniversary of his death.
