This time she is accompanied by Fuminori Tanada and includes music from France and France-related music. André Capré's "Dreaming and Little Waltz" is one of the most beautiful masterpieces for flute and piano from the end of the 19th century. Eugène Boza's Agrestide is full of romanticism despite being written in 1942. In addition to the two pieces by Gabrielle Fauré, the program includes works by Tanada and Rika Suzuki, two Japanese composers working in Paris. In each piece, Koga's beautiful and gorgeous Parisian-trained flute tone shines through, and at the same time, the Japanese wabi-sabi atmosphere is alive and well. Atsuko Koga was born in Fukuoka, Japan. She graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with a first prize in flute. She has been a member of the Magdeburg Philharmonic Orchestra since 2001. Fuminori Tanada was born in Okayama, Japan in 1961. After graduating from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music with a degree in composition, he completed his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris.Based in Paris, he has been a pianist in the flute department of the Conservatory since 1991 and a professor of chamber music since 2014.
