This is the second album in four years by CREATURES, a traditional heavy metal band from Curitiba, Brazil. This time, the band recorded with a full band, creating a more profound and detailed sound. The first characteristic of the sound is the exquisite fusion of heavy metal and hard rock. Guitarist Mateus Cantaleano, who is the main composer of the band, layers arpeggios and minor-key melodies on top of powerful riffs to create songs that are both catchy and shadowy. While there is a certain 80's catchiness that is reminiscent of DOKKEN and RATT, there is also a JUDAS PRIEST-like metal grit and dark quality that pervades the entire album. The band's dynamic song structures are also the band's true strength. From up-tempo heavy tunes to melancholy power ballads, each song is rich in expression, and vocalist Marc Brito's multiple choruses and powerful high tones add even more color. The guitar solos are wild and technical, but the band does not play too fast, and instead uses it to enhance the atmosphere of the songs. Compared to the previous album, this album is heavier, darker, and more mature. The momentum of the debut album is maintained, but the depth of the full band and the strange arrangements have been added, and the perfection of the music has been further enhanced.Beware The Creatures" in particular is a song that symbolizes the band's essence, combining a catchy hook with an evil atmosphere, and is a powerful work that combines the traditions of the 80's with a modern darkness. It can be said to be a new breath of orthodox metal from Brazil.
