The 1983 second studio album by Finland's OZ, one of the pioneers of Scandinavian heavy metal, has been newly reissued and mastered by Patrick W. Engel. This album was an important turning point in the band's career, reflecting the band's growth since their last album, with a more mature, aggressive, and heavy sound throughout the album. The relocation to Stockholm has allowed all members to concentrate on production, and the density of the sound and the completeness of the ensemble have improved dramatically. The entire album is dark and powerful, coming together as a massive heavy metal work that combines the lyricism and hardness characteristic of Europe. The guitar riffs and solos, the bass and drum rhythms, and the expressiveness of the vocals are exquisitely balanced, and the intensity and tempo changes of each song are effectively arranged, resulting in a flow with a sense of unity that attracts the listener throughout the album, and the album as a whole is more dynamic than the individual songs. The dynamism of the album as a whole stands out more than the individual songs.
