Since its first release in 1999, the "TOTAL 22" compilation has been released at the rate of one a year. While the structure of the compilation, which features a clever balance of regular legendary artists and newcomers, remains the same, this time around the compilation is especially reflective of the times. Although big room parties become more difficult, the imaginary dance floor, or "brain dance," is something that producers and audiences are constantly seeking, and this piece is a perfect packing of the process, results, and outlook of the production! The album starts with a track by JORG BURGER, co-founder of KOMPAKT (a mid-tempo groove reminiscent of MASSIVE ATTACK's "BLUE LINES" and ANDY WEATHERALL!) ), followed by a second track by one of the owners, JURGEN PAAPE, titled "The World Has Changed," and a third track by newcomers ARCHIL & LEON, who just debuted this year, all in low-mid tempo.The return of MATIAS AGUAYO, the legendary ORLANDO VOORN, the exclusive track by VOIGT & VOIGT with owner legend WOLFGANG VOIGT (GAS) and his brother REINHARDVOIGT, and you guessed it, MICHAEL MAYE R remixed a song by Danish singer-songwriter EEE GEE! And the last one is "NFT" by BLEEP GIGAVERSE, a returning tag team of MIJK VAN DIJK, the big surprise of '22, and JURGEN LAARMANN, promoter and editor of LOVE PARADE and MAYDAY. Finish! The 13 tracks are all made with KOMPAKT's high quality and fat sound, electro dance music that will take you from your headphones to the big floor with your imagination!
