The Inspiral Carpets, a rock band from Oldham, England, was known as one of the "Three Families" of the Manchester Movement along with The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays from the late 80's. This complete singles collection is now available on 3 CDs! Including a brand new remix of the Madchester Movement classic "This Is How It Feels" by The Go! The Inspiral Carpets, a rock band from Oldham, England, were known as one of the "Three Families" of the Manchester Movement, along with The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, from the late 1980s. Their groovy dance-rock sound, which makes full use of the Hammond organ, is a distinctive feature of their music. The band briefly disbanded in 1995, but reunited in 2003 and released a new album in 2014, their first in nearly 20 years, to the delight of longtime fans. In 2016, however, the band went on hiatus following the death of original drummer Craig Gill. The Inspiral Carpets are now releasing a complete singles collection.This collection, consisting of three CDs, covers their five studio albums LIFE (1990), THE BEAST INSIDE (1991), REVENGE OF THE GOLDFISH (1992), DEVIL HOPPING (1994), and "INSPIRIAL CARPETS" (2014), which encompasses all the singles of the Inspiral Carpets, including four UK Top 20 singles born from "INSPIRIAL CARPETS" (2014). This includes, of course, such classic songs as "This Is How It Feels", "She Comes In The Fall", "Saturn5", "I Want You", and "Dragging Me Down". In addition, CD3 features remixed versions of their singles. Of particular note is a new remix of "This Is How It Feels" by The Go! Team's fresh interpretation of the Inspiral Carpets' biggest hit. The album package also includes a booklet with commentary by the band members. This collection is the perfect way to look back and learn new things about the band that represented the Madchester movement in the early 90s.
