A rare archival recording of a charity show held on November 15, 2002 at Acton Town Hall in London in support of the striking firemen's union at the time is being reissued as a 2-CD analog reissue. Mick Jones, an ally of The Clash who was in the audience at the time, also took the stage and played three songs with Joe Strummer. It had been about 20 years since The Clash had performed together, and about a month later, Strummer passed away suddenly. Unfortunately, this was the last time they performed together. It is also noteworthy that this reissue is the latest remastered version of the recording. The remastering was done by Paul Hicks, who has remastered albums by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, and others.The complete set from that era includes "I Fought The Law", "Rudie Can't Fail", "Police &Thieves", "Police On My Back", "Shaktar Donetsk" with The Mescaleros, "Johnny Appleseed," and "Bhindee Bhagee. But the must-hear tracks are still the trifecta of "Bankrobber," "White Riot," and "London's Burning" with Mick Jones. The package also includes liner notes by Andy Gilhurst, the general secretary of the firefighters' union that led the strike at the time, and the gatefold jacket features many live photos from the show. This live album is a time capsule of the legendary live performance of Joe Strummer and Mick Jones on the same stage for the first time in about 20 years, and it is finally available to fans 10 years after Strummer's death.
