Florida hard rock group Bacchus' long-awaited collection of recordings is now available on LP! Born from the remnants of the legendary Florida garage band THE TROPICS (best known for "As Time's Gone"), BACCHUS is a powerful psychedelic and hard rock trio influenced by Cream, Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers, etc. Four rare singles were only released and are included here together for the first time. Eric Turner (guitarist, vocalist, songwriter) formed the trio with fellow Tropics bassist Charlie Souza and drummer Bill Peterson after leaving the Tropics. In 1970, after opening for the Cactus and the Free and receiving favorable reviews, they recorded their first single, the hard rock sounding "Carry My Load".From there, they toured the state with Grand Funk Railroad, released more singles, and opened for the likes of Leonard Skinard, BB King, The Outlaws, Redbone, Edgar Winter, Ted Nugent, and many others. He has also opened for the Mahavishnu Orchestra in Florida, and appeared on the Atlanta Pop Festival's Free Stage just before the main stage of Grand Funk Railroad. In recent years, the band has been included in the popular "BROWN ACID" compilation, and the release of a collection of sound sources has been eagerly awaited, and now the release of this album...
