Description:
A Belgian antique soprano who has sung with such masters as Richard Eger, Jos van Feldhoven, and Erik van Nevel on the Diertiens and Mr. and Mrs. Nessan Clavi organ, and has performed in both opera and oratorio, Amaryllis Dieltiens. Bart Nessan, a young Belgian conductor and old-time keyboardist born in 1980, is the principal organist at St. Gillis Church in Bruges and a chamber musician at the Brussels Conservatory. The album celebrates the 10th anniversary of "Capriola di Gioia," a period ensemble founded in 2007 by the couple Dieltiens and Nessan, with a collection of Italian cantatas accompanied by the clavi organ (clavi organum), an instrument combining the harpsichord and organ. (Heinichen was a German composer, but this cantata is included on this album because it was written in the Italian style during his stay in Italy.) Bart Nessan is a renowned researcher and performer of this instrument, including doctoral studies on the clavi organ at the University of Leuven in Belgium.Enjoy the mysterious sound of the Clavier organ, which sounds as if there is another player because you can hear the harpsichord and the organ, and the clear voice of Dieltiens.
